LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

Camping La Media Legua is situated close to 3 beautiful towns.  Albir, Alfaz Del Pi and Benidorm.  Below are a few local attractions and places to visit.

We also have a booklet in the Casa's which contains contact cards from places where previous guests have stayed and would recommend.  So if there is anywhere you visit and love it grab a card and add it to the booklet.  If you thinks it's good then share the love!

Magic Robin Hood, ALBIR

Magic Robin Hood is a mini Theme / water park located just 5 minutes walk from the campsite.  

A water park with water play activities and children’s slides, large swimming pools and the multi-adventure area with laser tag, a zip line and a climbing wall, Game Experience room, featuring the latest in virtual reality games, F1 Ferrari simulators, Nintendo consoles, Play Station and Xbox and much more. Practise your golf swing at the miniature golf course, have fun in the skate park or play a game of foot-pool or human table football, bars, themed restaurants, buffets, snacks and food trucks. Day and night time passes available.

ALBIR 

The town of Albir offers a relaxing pace of life and has a wonderful mostly pebble beach with some fantastic bars and restaurants to enjoy.  Albir is a modern purpose built seaside resort, quietly hidden from view from its’ busier neighbours Altea and Benidorm. There are wide, tree-lined avenues, low-rise buildings surrounded by gardens, and the main shopping centre is easily walkable from most of the town and located approximately 25 minute walk from the campsite. The town also offers a lovely farmers market on a sunday on the main central car park.  There is also a very pretty working lighthouse, situated at one end of the Sierra Helada natural park, perched on a high rock overlooking the sea.  As night approaches, you can walk along the pleasant and pretty promenade that separates the beach from the restaurants and other shops and businesses.

BENIDORM

Benidorm is a vibrant and lively town which was once a tiny fishing village.  Now with it's many bars, clubs, restaurants, shops, sandy beaches  and activities Benidorm is a highly popular holiday destination. The 2 beaches are Llevant and Poniente and are very wide, sandy beaches with plenty of space for everyone. Benidorm offers a whole range of possibilities: from strolling along the seafront promenade or swimming in the sea, to enjoying a range of water sports or taking a boat trip to the island of Benidorm. …Not to mention the various local festivities, and its mouth-watering cuisine featuring rice and fish as its star ingredients.  Approximately 1 hour walk from the campsite or 15 minutes on the bus or 10 minutes in the car.

ALFAZ DEL PI

Alfaz is a quaint Spanish town with many bars, shops and restaurants.  Located inland and on the number 10 bus route it is a nice change from the hustle and bustle of Benidorm.

AQUALANDIA

Aqualandia is a fun filled and action packed water park in Benidorm.  You can either grab a taxi from site or there is a bus from Benidorm.  We also provide discount vouchers in the folder in the Casa's. Aqualandia is one of the largest and most popular water parks in Europe.  The park features an impressive variety of water attractions, from thrilling high-speed slides and enormous wave pools to water play areas and relaxationzones. 

Guadalest

Guadalest, whose full name is El Castell de Guadalest, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Valencia and deservedly so. Suprisingly even though remote and at the end of a windy road, when you get to Guadalest there is a thriving town.  Guadalest was founded by the moors. The oldest part can only be reached by foot through a gateway hewn out of the rock. At the top the ruins of the castle and the church's belfry are perched spectacularly on the edge of the mountain. Absolutely amazing views.

Fonts de l'Algar

Las Fuentes del Algar (the Algar waterfalls) is a beautiful natural area made up of countless large and small connected by water channels that form rivers and pools where visitors can bathe surrounded by exuberant vegetation in the heart of the Alicante mountains. And less than half an hour from Benidorm!

This set of waterfalls, springs and pools with crystalline waters is equipped with all the comforts for the visitor, which makes the Fuentes del Algar a highly recommended excursion.

Go Karting

Enjoy the thrills and spills of the biggest karting circuit on the Costa Blanca. The Karting Finestrat track is 1.3 kms long, 10 meters wide with plenty of bends and curves. Choose from a kart which will reach speeds of 50km/h up to the competition kart which reaches speeds of 120km/h. By far the most popular track in the area.

Golfing

There are 8 main golf courses around the Benidorm area. The Costa Blanca along the southeast coast of Spain is one of the most visited places in Europe by golf enthusiasts.  You can bring your clubs or hire them.  Transfers are available with some local companies. 

Biking & Hiking Trails

There are many walking and hiking trails in the Albir and Benidorm area, with some stunning views.  The closest ones to Holiday Rentals Albir are the Lighthouse Trail, Serra Gelada and the 7 peaks.  All varied trials from easy to experienced.

10 Pin Bowling

Ozone bowling Benidorm boasts 10 large lanes to play on, disco bowling & rubber lane deflectors for the beginner.

You can also find ozone bowling in..Torrevieja, Murcia and there’s also one in La Bolera.

Ten-pin bowling is a fun game that everyone can play, whether it be friends, family, larger groups or couples – everyone loves the game.

Indoor market

The indoor market can be found at  Located in the Rincon area of Benidorm, you’ll find the Benidorm Indoor Market at the end of Calle Girona right next to the Masymas supermarket, and across the street from the Hotel Nereo.

Opening times 8 am till 6 pm Monday till Friday.

8am till 6pm Saturday & closed on Sundays. 

There are three wheelchair entry points for disabled visitors and mobility scooters. The indoor market is a must-visit and makes a brilliant day out where you can find all sorts off presents, gifts and souvenirs to take home for friends and family.

Casino

Try your luck at the casino and end up winning a load off money for your next holiday or more holiday spends. Benidorm is all about having a laugh and trying new experiences and if you’ve never been to a casino then that’s great – but if you’ve never been to a casino in Benidorm, then even better! It’s the perfect excuse to glam up and feel like Bond girls and you never know, you may even strike it lucky.

Bingo

Bingo bongo plaza is located next to McDonalds in the Old Town which is on the Plaza Hispanidad, otherwise referred to as The Triangle, where the huge rubber tree is.  Open every day from 2pm until 2am – and on Friday and Saturday it stays open until 3am.  The games are quite fast-paced with between 10 and 12 games per hour, so eyes down and fingers crossed! The numbers are called in Spanish and if you are not familiar with the language just simply watch the screen., many find it easier to watch the screen in the middle of the table.

La Marina Shopping Centre

La Marina in Finestrat is the largest shopping centre in the Benidorm area of Spain and is popular with both Spaniards and visitors. 

Known as ‘Centro Comercial La Marina’ in Spanish, La Marina shopping complex has more than 100 stores and restaurants, selling everything from clothing, shoes and jewellery to household products, children’s’ toys to mobile phones. In Benidorm and love shopping? then a trip to La Marina is an absolute necessity. 

Benidorm Escape Room

Benidorm Escape Room lockdown, a bit like the Crystal Maze but with a twist.

Benidorm Escape Room splits your group into three different themed rooms – the Zombie Room, the Cold War Room and the Orphanage – before locking each door and giving you one hour to find a way out.

Each player gets the chance to try two of the differently three themed rooms in the Escape Room.

There’s is a time limit of one hour per challenge (plus beer stops) and each of the rooms has different games and tasks to help you find your way out of the lockdown.
